Unicone Couplings

Unicone is the standard coupling system for dry bulk transfer on road tankers, and has been for decades. The joint was designed specifically for tankers carrying dry bulk materials such as flour, sugar, cereals, cement, powders and granular products.

The system is deliberately simple. Two preformed conical ends meet over a sealing rubber and lock together with a lever operated clamp, closed by hand with no tools needed. That leaves an uninterrupted bore through the joint, so nothing catches or builds up as product passes through. Sealing rings come in different compounds depending on how abrasive the material is.

Our range covers plain and serrated hose tails, screwed adaptors, weld ends, blank caps, clamps and seals in 3" to 6". Materials are mild steel, 316 stainless and zinc plated steel, with the clamps in Dacromet coated steel.
