A female suction strainer for the intake side of a pump, protecting the impeller from stones, weed, silt and other debris drawn in from open water. Suits lagoons, ditches, rivers, storage tanks and any application where the suction end sits in unfiltered water.
The galvanised basket is perforated with 20mm round holes, giving a 20mm free passage. Match this figure to the solids handling capability of your pump so you keep flow rates up without risking a blockage further down the line. The female lever lock connection clamps onto any matching male ball end by hand, with no tools and no threads to seize in the field. The ball and socket design allows a degree of articulation at the joint, which helps when the strainer is sitting at an angle at the bottom of a watercourse.
Manufactured in galvanised steel for repeated outdoor use in agriculture, civil engineering, dewatering, slurry handling and flood control. Bauer compatible, so it drops straight into an existing system.
